DYM hasn’t disappointed us since we first posted his music all the way back in January.

He continues to churn out quality material from complex dubstep remixes to thoughtful originals and this latest one laments our adoration and love for (good) drum and bass.

The original from 1999 ain’t our cup of tea at all but this is solid as a rock.

Hats off.

We grew up… away from cities, and near to lots of untapped history – namely the borderlands between Cumbria and Northumberland/England and Scotland. As well as the Isle of Guernsey and Kent. We are widely spread.

It all started when…Jonathan met Mike, Mike met Jeremy, Jeremy met Alex. We found our newest member when the NME wrongly printed the name of a different band in place of us in the gig listings (our first gig!). We looked them up and fell in love with the guitarist.

If we’re not recording or playing music you’ll find us…travelling up and down the country banging our heads on the roof of a van that smells of death.

We can’t perform unless we have…our voices, we are primarily a vocal band, though we aren’t very good at singing.

One country we’re dying to play live in is…Greenland, my parents led and expedition there in the 70′s to track down some extinct geese.

Our three dream festival headliners would be…Michael Jackson, Steve Reich (collaborating with Destiny’s Child), The Beatles.

You’ll recognise us by our…white boiler-suits and furrowed brows.

We wish we hadn’t…lost a few vital days of recording while we were making the album!

If there’s one thing we’ve learnt it’s…if it ain’t broke, kill yourself.

Give us 30 minutes and we’ll cook a great…Pesto sauce. Mickey makes something called ‘Tunch’ which is ‘between lunch and tea’, which is basically pasta with broccoli and feta cheese, he swears by it and eats it by the metric tonne.

Buy us a drink and we’ll…sing you the whole of Gangsta’s Paradise, in German.

We’re not really into Country, but we do like Conway Twitty.

Our next release is…our debut album Man Alive which comes out on the 30^th of August, but before that MY KZ, UR BF comes out on the 23^rd.

Australia’s Our Husband aka Freya and Nathaniel have just released this, their first single from their yet-to-be-named upcoming album and it’s rolling guitars and gentle melodies are perfect for our mood right now.

We’ve another exclusive Mahogany Session for you this week, this time coming from New York duo The Hundred In The Hands.

The ‘unplugged’ versions of Pigeons and Sleep Walkers were filmed at our video residency location that is the wonderfully bohemian Passing Clouds in East London.

The soothingly delicate vocals of Eleanore blew us away and the two songs they performed for Mahogany were amazing, the first of which is live now.

They’re currently on tour in the UK and you can pick up their debut EP via this link.

The second Tour de Force mixtape is out and we’re wasting no time in getting it to your ears.

Playing this back-to-back with Part I makes for two sweet (and sweat inducing) hours of heart-warming 80s-inspired electro and makes a beach sunrise party the only thing we want to do.

Again packed to the rafters with gems – it’s a mix that’ll Force everyone to get up off that lazy bums, no matter what time in the morning it is.

Catching a succession of green lights whilst driving or getting the last seat on a packed out train results in big smiles across our faces. In some cases however, a stand-out remix can lead to the biggest smile of all.
