Monarchy – I Won’t Let Go
Big thanks to Juliette for giving us a heads up to Monarchy’s latest single release.
Featuring vocals from Rokhsan, the single’s due out on Moda Music on April 11th and comes with a couple of top class remixes from the likes of Bag Raiders and Sam Tiba.
The original has more than enough clout on its own, but Bag Raiders still manage to deliver something strong and original on top.
Levi’s Craft of Music
What better way to get people into your store than booking some of great artists and having them play alongside the jeans and t-shirts.
Levi’s are doing just that with their Craft of Music events and we were invited down to their flagship Regent Street store on Friday for some drinks and acoustic performances from Rox and The Joy Formidable.
Filmed on lovely cameras by what seemed to be an army of people, the gigs are free to attend and all you need to do is head over to the website for more info.
All videos can be watched on the site and previous artists include Beardyman, The Magic Numbers and Lissie to name but a few.
Further gigs are scheduled throughout the year and they’re not to be missed!
Belleruche
Belleruche just dropped their latest single as they prepare for their SXSW showcases next week (gutted we’re not there this year) as well as an artistically directed video to accompany it.
Here’s a snippet from the press release…“3 Amp Fuse” epitomises the London trio’s knack for fashioning a sound that is both catchy and unusual, and cooks up the perfect pop storm; opening with emphatic kettle drums and a driving bassline topped off with Kathrin deBoer’s bittersweet, world-worn vocals and suspenseful, staccato strings, it builds to a shuddering crescendo in three minutes on the dot.
Couldn’t have put it better ourselves.

(Picture taken from the Fenech-Soler Mahogany Session)
Fenech-Soler recently recorded some beautiful alternative studio renditions from tracks off their debut, and they’re giving the 4-track EP away for free!
The White Versions EP consists of new versions of Stop & Stare, Demons, Contender and Battlefields.
These versions are outstanding and go to show their versatility as a band who don’t solely rely on big studio sounds to get their music across.
Here’s a taster…

Toro Y Moi Remixed
We’ve got a few artists on our Mahogany Session hit-list for this year and Chazwick Bundick aka Toro Y Moi is right up there.
On the cusp of his new album (Underneath The Pine) which is due to hit tomorrow, SposhRock has crafted a stunning remix of Still Sound from his base in Toronto.
