New Little Comets
Here is a solid sounding lively release from Newcastle’s Little Comets. Their new EP, ‘Worry’ is due for release on 12th December and to coincide they have released a slick black and white video featuring some great shots of the guys live and on tour.
Also worth checking out from the EP is ‘His Thunder’ – all stirring thundering drums and soaring vocals.

Pelican

We were pretty excited this week to see brand new material from the Maccabees land in our inbox. The Brighton band’s performance was a highlight of Lovebox 2010 and both Colour It In and Wall of Arms have had a serious amount of play on the Mahogany stereo. So, without further ado, here is their latest track Pelican. Typically gorgeous swift vocal harmonies race over tightly thrashed guitars and a dancing rhythm. Its pretty a much a given to be all over indie dance floors in the new year. ‘Pelican’ is the first single to be released from their new album Given To The Wild out on 9th January.

Bombay Bicycle Club – Shuffles
Our last BBC related post was front-man Jack Steadman’s solo work yet they’ve been back in the studio as a band and prepare to release their new album, A Different Kind of Fix, in August.
In the meantime, one of the tracks called Shuffle is being showcased on their official SoundCloud page and we can definitely hear Steadman’s own production trademarks throughout.
It’s clear to hear they’ve grown as a group. Their musical direction has developed massively and I’m genuinely excited for the LP!
