In The Mix(tape) – Thomas Stieler

Saalfeld’s Thomas Stielfeld is a producer with a passion for deep house and techno, and also a man whose not in a rush when it comes to his mixes.
There’s something that leaves me with an amazingly chilled and relaxed feeling when I listen to a Stieler mix and this one for Max.fm is no exception – for me it’s the ultimate productivity mix and I’ve already screamed through my to-do list for the day.
No track-listing which isn’t uncommon for this producer nonetheless sit back and enjoy!

In The Mix(tape) – Kerri Chandler

Father, patron, pioneer – whatever you call it, Kerri Chandler is a house music legend. He’s someone I’ll spend ever waking hour trying to get on our guest mix series and his two decades in the business means his mixes are, as you’d expect, brilliant
This one has filled up almost my entire day having listened to it three times which is actually becoming a bit of a routine when it comes to good mixes..
- First time round is a relaxed listen, enjoying whatever beats are thrown my way and at times zoning out in the process.
- Second listen and focus on the blends, transitions and effects where possible.
- Lastly, take in all the aspects of the mix from above and truly appreciate the time and effort it took to create.
This one starts off soulfully and gradually gets deeper but comes around again toward the end with old school vibes.
There’s no tracklisting with this one so you have to trust us (and more importantly him!)
