In The Mix(tape) – Medlar

It’s Friday and if you want some elegant tasteful house music selections to inspire some night time antics, then you should listen to this seriously classy mix from Medlar. It has some great house and disco nuggets on here from Todd Terje and Maxxi Soundsystem, plus a funky cut from The Dead Rose Music Company. The kind of quality grooves you would expect from Wolf Music.

Todd Terje Returns

There’s no doubt Todd Terje’s summer was abruptly (but expectedly) hijacked by every club promoter on the land when ‘Ragysh’ became the staple diet for lovers of house music around the globe and whilst I’ve heard material from the new EP at a couple of parties in the past couple of months, it’s only now that it’s being officially released.
It’s definitely more chilled than the summer hit, but the fun, bold and lively tempo still comes through beautifully when things get going and it’s definitely the beginning of what’s going to be another big year for the artist.
You can hear the whole EP, titled ‘It’s The Arps’, on Terje’s SoundCloud, and here’s Inspector Norse.
He also put out his latest remix, a lovely 11 minute reworking of a track from Bombay Bicycle Club’s latest album which plays on the vocals in all sorts of sumptuous ways.

The personal discover of record label FRΞNCH ΞXPRΞSS has been the best thing to happen to me for a long time and my morning has been spent working my way through their delectable roster of artists – all of whom are currently creating some of the nicest disco-tinged dance music around.
Taken from their website, the US-based label explain themselves as the following;

After a solid couple of hours, here are some of the artists and some solid productions – just in time for your Friday.
