The music made by London’s Ed Gillett aka Shape Worship has got my week off to a perfect start. Somewhere between bright sunbeam electronics and the bass-led woozy shuffle left in dub-step’s wake, Shape Worship’s sound is deeply atmospheric and uplifting in equal measure. The hypnotic build of ‘Dates (Turn Around)’ are a joy (and also free to download), but the more sombre tones and warped vocals on ‘Lavender’ suggest some deeper range.
