We grew up… in Southampton (Peter) where there’s very little to do, and Colchester (Kerry), the oldest recorded town in Britain and host to an Army Barrack which makes life there rather interesting.
Now you can find us… in North North North London (Peter) and North London (Kerry).
It all started when… Peter was 5 and saw a live video of Michael Jackson performing in Bucharest and started learning some MJ dance moves, and when Kerry was 6 and found a googley-eyed coral ornament with an eye missing, and wrote her first song about the pain she was feeling. She made her sister do backing vocals and they sang it for their mum while she was in the bath. Peter doesn’t try to moonwalk anymore after an unfortunate incident in a bar.
If we’re not in the studio or on stage, you’ll find us… drinking tea/beer (depending on time of the day) and cycling along the canal.
We can’t perform unless we have… each other next to us.
The one gig we’ll never forget is… the Laurel Collective album launch show in June this year. It was pretty special. Or an acoustic Dogtanion show they did in South London, which was also pretty special.
A huge musical inspiration for us is… the music made by our friends; it’s what we connect to most.
We wish we hadn’t… eaten 16 spring rolls at 3am the other morning.
Our favourite festival is… In The Woods, curated by the Laurel Collective. There’s lots of amazing music in a beautiful setting with lovely people. Honestly, you’ll go there and fall in love with it.
It makes us happy when… we make each other happy.
It makes us sad when… our friends and family are in trouble.
If there’s one thing we’ve learnt… it’s that you’re always learning!?
In twenty years time… we’ll still be sat in our pyjamas with a Yamaha keyboard and a cup of tea, laughing at stupid things we say.
If you’re new to our music, listen to ‘I Don’t Know’ first. It’s our latest single and a good example of how we work together.
Our latest release is… ‘La Trimouille’, our debut album, which is out digitally on July 16th and physically on CD and vinyl on July 30th.
