German born DJ and producer Andre Lodemann has been a steady presence on the Berlin techno scene for the last two decades. He is a well respected DJ and gifted producer who brings in touches of jazz and soul and mixes that with more classic techno and house riffs.
This month Lodemann has released ‘Fragments’; a retrospective album that encompasses the best of his original productions and remixes from the last 20 years. Which seems like an apt time to celebrate the man and make him our Producer of the Week. One listen of the beautiful melancholic vibe of ‘Riven Reminisces’ perfectly captures the emotional journey that Lodemann takes you on with his music.
Andre Lodemann – Riven Reminisces
Lodemann has a masterful command of productions that start with a subtle groove and build into an unexpected crescendo. His track ‘Where are you now’ kicks off slowly with a classic house beat, and ultimately explodes with bright sunny synths stabs.

Lodemann has also been behind some irresistible recent remixes. Two of our favourites are his rework of Omar’s ‘Lay It Down’ – which sounds like a track straight from every sun drenched club terrace you could ever hope to dance on. Equally strong, is his filthy remix of Liquideep’s ‘Feel It’ where he adds a sex riddled bassline to the seductive breathy vocals of the original. Lodemann then breaks that bassline down with a rush of piano keys that instantly lifts the track straight out of the gutter.
