Monday Digest Vol. 7

Let’s start by saying Happy Easter to everyone – whether you’re religious or not, the pubic holiday gave everyone a much deserved break and here in the UK, offices and school remain closed until tomorrow! That doesn’t mean we are though and the Dub Pistols’ 2009 track featuring Ashley Slater on the vocals is going to begin proceedings.

Over the weekend the esteemed Portuguese dance label Discotexas released a string of newly commissioned edits taken from Zimmer’s ‘Horizontal Disco Remixes’ and Moullinex’s edit of Looking At You is one of our favourites.

Back in 2011 the Australian production duo Coupons and Swiss-based producer Show Your Shoe came together to create ‘Sara’ and it’s just a delight to listen to. Playful electronica at it’s best with some really great range and better still, the track is available as a free download below.

We’re going to end today with some beautiful music from Ludovico Einaudi. You may or may not know that he scored Shane Meadows’ film This is England as well as the TV series that followed, and given the evocative and shocking nature of many of the scenes, Ludovico provided some inspired works which set such a unique tone and ‘Solo’ is one of them.
