When we’re pulling together our Introducing… features, its always a toss up between going for artists that are truly just starting out on their musical journey, and those who may have already had some critical acclaim but haven’t featured on the blog yet. Today’s artist falls into the latter category.
Jai Paul is a North London based electro-soul artist who set the blogosphere alight last year with his glitchy pop track BTSTU. Earlier this month he finally followed up all that 2011 buzz with a new track ‘Jasmine’. Currently this track is still a demo and the man behind the music remains something of an enigma however, this second release bodes well for the future. Soulful ghetto pop with a glitchy electronic twist; in a sea of dance driven commercial pop music, Jai Paul’s sound is unique.
Lets just hope we don’t have to wait quite as long for another track this time around.
