New Little Comets
Here is a solid sounding lively release from Newcastle’s Little Comets. Their new EP, ‘Worry’ is due for release on 12th December and to coincide they have released a slick black and white video featuring some great shots of the guys live and on tour.
Also worth checking out from the EP is ‘His Thunder’ – all stirring thundering drums and soaring vocals.

Hero

Film-maker and artist Miguel Endara’s latest creation is a masterpiece is more ways than one and help to remind me how many great skills I lack!
The video tracks the creation of a portrait of Miguel’s father so the ‘Hero’ title for the project must have two meanings, one bestowed on his personal hero-figure father and the other on the heroic task which took over 200 hours to complete.
The end result is incredible and song choice was perfect.

Little Dragon (Close Remix)

Sweden’s Little Dragon have had a storming 2011 with the release of their third studio album Ritual Union; an album that has resulted in some fantastic remixes from electronic music’s great and good including Maya Jane Coles and Tycho.
On this new remix from Close, ‘Crystal Film’ – one of the moodier tracks from Ritual Union – has been given a bolder bassline and a crisp high-hat that gives some heavy weight behind all that beautiful synth. The other good news? It’s free to download below.

Brand New Miike Snow

Highly, highly anticipated new music from Swedish/American outfit Miike Snow dropped today and it’s got me salivating like I’m in a Michelin-starred restaurant and it’s clear they’ll once again dominate online, print and the stage in 2012!
The pacey piano-led track titled ‘Devil’s Work’, recorded at their studio in Stockholm continues in their style of original modern pop music, and it’s actually really comforting to hear Andrew Wyatt’s vocals again after their much deserved break.
It’s also obvious the guys are preparing to go into over-drive next year stating online that “the album is complete. The videos are being shot. The artwork is being finished. The tour dates are being planned” and given the last success, no doubt the record label is prepared to chuck a good portion of cash their way so they can do just that.
Miike Snow – Devil’s Work
Film-maker and previous collaborator Andreas Nilson released the first in a series of videos for the group. He’ll serve as the creative director for the entire campaign and base the theme around the birth of a new race… and the first glimpse of a key character is revealed in this first extended clip.”
Light Up (The World) – MJ Cole Remixes

As if the combination of the beautiful Yasmin, DnB dynamo Shy FX and Ms Dynamite wasn’t good enough already, their single ‘Light Up (The World)’ has been given the remix treatment by 2-step legend MJ Cole – not once, but twice.
The straight remix stays faithful to Cole’s roots in UK garage, but has some reggae and dub vibes thrown in for good measure. On the other hand the MJ Cole Dub eschews the vocals altogether taking the track straight into old school rave territory.
Very nice…
