Tiger Beers presents Ben Westbeech
Last week Tiger Beer transformed an inconspicuous East London loft a storming venue which lay host to Ben Westbeech and his long-awaited full live show.
We headed down for a few delicious beers courtesy of Tiger but all eyes were on Westbeech and the project he’s been developing for a long time.
Did it live up to the hype?
In a word. Absolutely.
Showcasing new and old tracks, Westbeech played classics from his 2007 debut Welcome To The Best Years Of Your Life like So Good Today as well as newbies like Falling to a packed out (and extremely hot) room.

There’s no doubt he’s working on a new record and we highly recommend catching him and the band when they start touring and he’s just been added to the Mahogany Session Hit-list for 2011!

New Flight Facilities // Future Classic Day
Crave You was their first and only publicly released original to date yet Flight Facilities have an almost cult status in many places around the globe.
What have they been doing since?
Well among a slew of fantastic mixes and remixes, they’ve been travelling the world with bookings from here to Timbuktu so after a years gap it’s only right that their second track isn’t rushed…
Giselle was the vocalist on Crave You yet Foreign Language employs a fresh set of lungs in the form of Jess. It’s a gorgeous track of modern disco funk alongside seriously sexy vocals.
Summer. Summer. Summer.

In the Mix(tape) – Future Classic DJs
There’s no denying the incredible rise of quality dance acts currently being exported out from Australia and today we’re focusing on Future Classic.
To allow them to describe ‘Future Classic is a record label, music publisher and touring agency from Sydney, Australia. The label is distributed worldwide by Word and Sound and in Australia by Inertia, as well as having representation in all major digital services. The touring agency manages tours for DJs and bands in Australia, NZ and Asia. We’re also DJing as the Future Classic DJs with monthly mixes here on Soundcloud. Check our website for more details or follow us on Facebook to stay in the loop with our projects.’
Moreover they’re an very active and engaged company with Facebook and SoundCloud profiles brimming with good music and more and on top of that, they’re currently releasing some of the best electronic/dance music that the Aussies have to offer and this mini-series profile feature will highlight some of that…
Firstly their monthly mixes, the first and second mixed by Nathan McLay, with the third by Chad of Future Classic.
All absolute bangers.

Jamie Woon // Mahogany Session (Festival Edition)
We’re knee deep in the summer over here in the UK which means festival season is in full swing and we mentioned back in July that we were heading to Lounge on the Farm festival in Kent to meet up with some rather exciting artists.
In various locations in and around the festival we hooked up with the likes of Leah Mason, Marcus Foster, Michael Kiwanuka, Kyla la Grange, Melody Melodica and Me and last but absolutely not least Jamie Woon.
We’ll be releasing all the sessions throughout the week and first up is the Woon himself on the outskirts of the site performing two online acoustic exclusives of Street and his latest track (not on the album) Blue Truth on the Mahogany Session buggy!
