Angus & Julia Stone Remixed
Haiti might be a bit of unsuspecting place for an upcoming producer working on the likes of Angus & Julia Stone, but writing that was actually a stark generalisation of the country, based on images that I see on the news. Haiti, apologies.
Anyway, Big Jet Plane was a lovely track from the most recent A&J album and Michael Brun’s bootleg adds a pinch of sun, sprig of electronica and a dash of ambient dance to become the musical highlight of the commute home from work this evening.

Wish You Were Hear #1 – To Build A Home

It’s called Wish You Were Hear, feel free to send in any recommendations from other incredible live performances.

Jamie Woon
Jamie’s debut album, mirrorwriting, is out on April 18th but that’s ages away in our book so we need some new Woon pronto and today’s its in the form of a remix.
Hudson Mowawke have added a punch and a wallop to his latest track as he prepares to showcase himself with his full live band at SXSW this week.
Enjoy.

Nathaniel Rateliff // Mahogany Session
Last week we released a brand new session with Denver-native Nathaniel Rateliff as he releases his new album, In Memory of Loss.
Shot in the warm and cosy setting of the Marksman Pub in Shoreditch, our ears were privvy to some lovely Mid-Western acoustics.
Funnily enough, Nathaniel Rateliff used to perform under the moniker of The Wheel and that was one of the first ever posts on this blog!

Levi’s Craft of Music
What better way to get people into your store than booking some of great artists and having them play alongside the jeans and t-shirts.
Levi’s are doing just that with their Craft of Music events and we were invited down to their flagship Regent Street store on Friday for some drinks and acoustic performances from Rox and The Joy Formidable.
Filmed on lovely cameras by what seemed to be an army of people, the gigs are free to attend and all you need to do is head over to the website for more info.
All videos can be watched on the site and previous artists include Beardyman, The Magic Numbers and Lissie to name but a few.
Further gigs are scheduled throughout the year and they’re not to be missed!
Craig David?
Yup, you didn’t misread the title.
Former UK garage singing legend has just received his first (and most probably last) post here on Mahogany and which is all thanks to Sweden’s Drop Out Orchestra.
Taking his 2000 hit, Walking Away, DOO have added some major funk to this otherwise dull slowjam.
It uses an old school sample which I heard in the barbers over the weekend but Shazam couldn’t find it unfortunately.
Anyway, it’s brilliant and check out their SoundCloud for more.
