It’s been quantity over quality when it comes to female solo artists of recent. Too many limp onto the scene with over produced, uninspired music – only to disappear into the musical abyss – leaving behind only an aged MySpace profile. That in tow has left a lot of people slightly jaded about ‘newbies’.
There are those who stand out despite the untalented market, and Alice Gold is one of them.
She’s definitely one to watch as we approach the New Year. Packing a hell of a lot of rhythm and soul into her unplugged performance, Alice played two tracks from her upcoming album, exclusively for Mahogany – and you can watch them below.
