It all started when…I started singing along to Disney movies when I was a baby. The official moment was watching Gene Kelly do ‘Singing in the Rain’, copying him and sounding like a jazz women.
If I’m not playing music you’ll find me…drinking in Soho, drinking over-priced coffee in Soho or walking home from the gym in horrible clothes with a bright pink face.
I can’t perform unless I have…retouched my hair about 40 times in the mirror.
My three dream festival headliners would be…Amy Winehouse, The Beatles and The Marvelettes.
You’ll always see me wearing…my see-through Converse – love them!
I wish I hadn’t…spent all my advance on Pret.
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt it’s…always love yourself and believe in yourself. Always, always, always.

I’m not really into shit music, but I do like Same Difference.
My favourite food is…at the moment falafel.

Mahogany Exclusive – Foals Remix
Have to be honest, Foals album didn’t make waves with me upon first listen but after a good few back-to-back plays, it’s become a true musical treasure of 2010.
As for the remixes that churn out, be them official or bootleg, it’s something we’ve been keeping a close eye on and we’ve got our hands on a Mahogany exclusive this week from Leeds producer BangaTang.
BangaTang has been a choice cut for Kissy Sell Out and The Temper Trap and Foals have recruited his talents for their eerie Spanish Sahara song.

A solid single, solid remix and a solid music video make for the perfect package in the blogosphere universe.
Human Life are bracing for the release of their single In It Together (out 7th June on Lifex Recordings) and what better way than with a classy club remix by Acid Girls and a great music video.
When it comes to dance music videos, they can be very hit and miss depending on the labels budget. Cut Copy’s Hearts on Fire video made the mistake of not focusing on the song at hand and Deadmau5′s Ghosts N Stuff was possibly the worst dance video of all time considering how strong the song was.

Mahogany Minute…NewIslands
We grew up…wearing black baggy trousers, dark eye make-up and listening to Marilyn Manson.
It all started when…I took my first job in a boring office and my head nearly exploded through sheer boredom.
If we’re not recording or playing music you’ll find us…You won’t find us. We’ll be playing an epic round of hide and seek in the woods.
We can’t perform unless we have…a kiss on the cheek from Mummy.
One country we’re dying to play live in is…India, of the romanticised mystical variety, not the terrorist ridden one.
Our three dream festival headliners would be…Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, the Beatles.
You’ll recognise us by our…bizarre gait and the clatter of artificial limbs.
We wish we hadn’t…been involved in the great white shark attack of 2005.
If there’s one thing we’ve learnt it’s…don’t play with sharks.
Give us 30 minutes and we’ll cook a great…shark burger with a juicy, hot salsa relish.
Buy us a drink and we’ll…start singing somalian zulu chants and initiate you into the SZO (Somalian Zulu Organisation).
We’re not really into television, but we do like the Sesame Street theme tune.
