“I tend to play mostly villains and twisted people. Unsavory guys. I think it’s my face, the way I look.”

Christopher Walken is easily one of my favourite actors of all time. It’s his charm (although he hasn’t particularly charming in Sleepy Hollow but that wasn’t even much of a role anyway) and the fact that you believe his character no matter who he portrays. A fair few of his films are cemented securely in my movie library.

The Deer Hunter, King of New York, True Romance, his small but hilarious part in Pulp Fiction and Catch Me If You can are all films I’ve got and love. Now he’s done a lot more than what I’ve mentioned and granted in the last few years he’s done some pretty weak films but every man has a mortgage to pay.

I watched one of his latest films, $5 a day, and whilst it wasn’t his a particularly good film, I enjoyed watching Walken nonetheless. The end credits to the film feature this little ditty by charming UK artist Marcus Foster and I think you’ll all really like it.

The music has got a really nice pace to it – feels like I’m traveling down a sleepy American highway or something.

That may be why he’s in such high demand in the US.
