After working at the Shepherds Bush Empire in London for over 2 years there were hundreds of gigs from artists both amazing and absolutely awful.

Muse, John Butler Trio and Imogen Heap were among the most notable sets that I watched from the bar as well as José González who blew the entire audience away with his acoustic show.

I was lucky enough to see him twice. Once a headline show supported by Fink and the other as a guest with Zero 7 & Sia.

From his name you’d think José was a Mexican milkman but he was born in Sweden to Argentinian parents. Funnily enough the first bands that he started out with were hardcore punk outfits and now he has some of the softest guitar music in the industry. Big contrast.
