Last night I went to see New York girls from Au Revoir Simone at Bush Hall in London.

The trendy trio have just released their third album, Still Night Still Light, and they played some sweet new tunes in the small West London venue. Erika, Annie and Heather all play keyboards (they have about five of them on stage).The new songs are slightly moodier than usual, but still quite dancey and kind of hypnotic.

For some reason there were so many French people (including me) attending the show – that’s what you get for picking such a peculiar band name I guess. Anyway, they also played some tracks like Sad Song and Stay Golden which reminded me of the time when I was an innocent Parisian student.
