Trouble The Water is an Oscar-nominated documentary made by a Black couple armed with a video camera struggling to survive during Hurricane Katrina – it’s a shocking and moving documentary which we would recommend to anybody.

Half way through, a montage of the flooded city and it’s stranded residents was shown and during that time a song by Citizen Cope was played.

Citizen Cope has released three albums to date. The most critically acclaimed is The Clarence Greenwood Recordings and although it touches on many of the problems in the United States, it also tries to find a solution.
